Tender and tasty meatballs paired with creamy and healthy avocado dipping sauce. Perfect for your low carb cocktail parties!

What You’ll Need:

For the meatballs:

  • 11 pound ground pork
  • ¼ small red onion, minced
  •  ½ red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ jalapeño, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • salt and pepper, to taste

For the sauce:

  • 1 avocado
  • handful of cilantro, roughly chopped
  • juice of ½ lime
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • ¼ jalapeño, minced
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon cumin
  • pinch of salt and pepper
  • ¼ cup mayo
  • Olive oil for cooking


1. Cut avocado in half lengthwise, remove the pit and scoop out the flesh directly into a blender. Add the cayenne pepper, lemon zest, cilantro, cayenne pepper, cumin, salt, pepper and lemon juice and puree until smooth.

2. Transfer to a bowl and add the mayo and stir thoroughly then set aside.

3. Place ground pork in a bowl. Add cayenne pepper, garlic, onion, bell pepper, cumin, chili powder, paprika, salt and pepper and mix everything using your hands.

4. Scoop out some meat and using your hands, form it into a ball and put aside while you do the rest.

5. Heat a medium pan over low heat and fry the meatballs until golden brown in batches to suit your pan size. 6. In a serving plate, put some sauce and top off with the meatballs.
