Peter has an extensive background in forage production, utilization, and forage-based livestock production systems. He was the forage extension specialist at Oregon State University from 1986 until 1992. His personal experience has led him to re-examine human diet and health. What he has learned doesn’t agree with the advice he has been given for the past several decades. This new understanding, combined with his forage background, has given him an interest in local, sustainable animal production systems.
Peter is Barenbrug USA’s Forage Product Manager. A happily married guy who’s trying’ to follow Jesus of Nazareth one day at a time (let the reader understand). He plays hammered dulcimer; enjoy Celtic music, culture & history; do live sound; all-around good cooking’; create truly awesome BBQ.
